Description
Furosemide 2% is a diuretic that acts directly as a blocker of the Na⁺/K⁺/2Cl⁻ transport system in the thick ascending limb of the renal loop of Henle.
It is used for the treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy, hypercalciuric nephropathy, elevated uremia, as an adjunct therapy for hyperkalemia, and occasionally as an antihypertensive.
Due to its ability to increase venous elasticity and capacitance, it is also indicated for the treatment of hydrocephalus, pulmonary edema, mammary edema, among others.
Its 20 mL dropper bottle presentation is specially designed to facilitate dosing, making it a unique option in the veterinary market.
